| Hello my dear friends How are you all?? I hope you are doing more than great and happy exactly like this
In this topic Inshallah, I'm going to discuss a very important part of English language that will help you a lot in improving and enriching your English Language. In addition, it's gonna reflect to the English native speakers how good is your English. We all know that English speakers use informal language, casual English, that is full with phrasal verbs, slangs, idioms, etc when they speak or write to their friends, family and so on. So, my topic for today will be about Idioms. Are you ready? I hope so. So, what are we waiting for? Let’s start I'm very sure that the first question will come directly to your mind is “What’s the definition of the word, Idioms ? Idiom simply means an expression whose meaning is not predictable from the usual meanings of its constituent elements. In other words, it has a hidden meaning. For example, "Rome wasn't built in one day" it's an idiom simply mean all the great works take or need time to finish. Let me put it in a sentence for you to clarify it more. Sara: when are you going to finish designing our room? Jessica: be patient Sara, Rome wasn't built in one day. English language is full with idioms and it's really exciting to discover the hidden meaning of any idiom. Between you and me, I'm in love with Idioms; I actually opened a community page in Facebook specialized about idioms . I have an idea, let's play a game called "Guess the meaning of my idiom" I'm very sure it will help us a lot in enriching our English language. The rules of my game are very very easy and any one can do it. Rule number one: Try to guess the hidden meaning of your friend's idiom. Rule number two: Post your favorite idiom or any idiom you like to share it with us. Rule number three: you can play this game more than once. I'll start what is the hidden meaning of the idiom, I have butterflies in my stomach? ^_^ Waiting for your participation I wish you understand my first educational lesson about Idioms. If you want to ask me any question about Idioms, I will be right here Inshallah

| The topic this time is very simple and very useful for all. There are a lot of idioms in English and sometimes is very difficult to translate them into Arabic, but we will try to give the equivalence or meaning of which in Arabic.
The idea of this topic is that we have to choose an idiom and to give the meaning of that idiom in English or/and in Arabic and we have to put that idiom in a meaningful sentence.
Be the apple of somebody’s eye: Meaning in English: to be loved very much by someone
Or Meaning in Arabic: قرة عين فلان
Example: I am the apple of my father’s eye
what is the meaning of the IDIOM
the apple doesn't fall far from the tree

| dear ahmed what about(like ared flag to aboll( A common misconception about cattle (particularly bulls) is that they are enraged by the color red (something provocative is often said to be "like a red flag to a bull"). This is incorrect, as cattle are red-green color-blind.[30][31] The myth arose from the use of red capes in the sport of bullfighting; in fact, two different capes are used. The capote is a large, flowing cape that is magenta and yellow. The more famous muleta is the smaller, red cape, used exclusively for the final, fatal segment of the fight. It is not the color of the cape that angers the bull, but rather the movement of the fabric that irritates the bull and incites it to charge. Although cattle cannot distinguish red from green, they do have two kinds of color receptors in the cone cells in their retinas. Thus they are dichromatic, the same as most other mammals (including dogs, cats, horses and up to ten percent of male humans; see also color vision. ). They are able to distinguish some colors, particularly blue from yellow, in the same way as most other non-primate land mammals

| Knocking on wood, and the spoken expression "knock on wood," are used to express a desire to avoid "tempting fate" after making some boast or speaking of one's own death. In the United Kingdom, Egypt, Ireland, India and Australia, the term "touch wood" is used. The expression is usually used in the hope that a good thing will continue to occur after it has been acknowledged. So, for example, one might say: "The rain looks like it's holding off, knock on wood," or "Knock on wood, I'm much better now." Another example would be "I have never had to use my gun before, knock on wood." what about Time will soon teach you what you were ignorant of

| The phrase used by people who rap their knuckles on a piece of wood hoping to stave off bad luck. In the UK the phrase 'touch wood' is used - often jokingly by tapping one's head. The phrases are usually used when one is already experiencing some good fortune and hope that it will continue - e.g. "I've been winning on every race - touch wood".
